The Great Te Puke Spring Clean is back for 2026 – and this year, we’re turning cleaning up our town into a challenge!

Grab your school mates, workmates, sports team, community group, friends or whānau, create a team and join the Spring Clean Challenge.

NEW FOR 2026 – THE SPRING CLEAN CHALLENGE!

From 14–18 September, teams can take part in our brand-new Spring Clean Challenge web app and battle it out to see who can earn the most points while helping make Te Puke look its best.

It’s simple:

• Register your team – school, business, organisation, sports team, family or group of friends.
• Complete clean-up missions – choose from a range of missions and challenges around Te Puke.
• Snap the proof – take photos of your team completing missions and upload them through the app.
• Earn points – every completed mission adds points to your team total, with bonus points available for tackling priority areas identified by Keep Te Puke Beautiful.
• Climb the live leaderboard – keep an eye on the competition and challenge your friends, family, rival businesses, sports teams or schools!

There will be prizes up for grabs for the teams with the most points when the challenge finishes on Friday 18 September. Teams must have representatives present at the Pizza Party to claim their prizes.

FRIDAY 18 SEPTEMBER – MAIN STREET CLEAN & PIZZA PARTY

We’ll finish off a big week of cleaning with our Main Street Clean & Pizza Party from 3pm–5pm, starting and finishing at The Daily Café.

Bring along the rubbish your team has collected during the challenge, head out for a final clean-up of the Te Puke Main Street and grab those all-important last-minute points before the leaderboard closes!

Then head back to The Daily for:

• Educational and environmental stalls
• Fun games and activities
• Spring Clean Challenge prizegiving
• FREE PIZZA!

A rubbish drop-off point will also be available during the week for teams who need to dispose of their collected rubbish before Friday – details to come.

Whether you can give us an hour, an afternoon or get your team involved for the whole week, every piece of rubbish collected makes a difference.
